The Spinning Pen Game

Here's the story: Up late with a bunch a friends chatting at Timmy Ho's (Tim Hortons for the vernacular impaired). How do you get to know people better, especially when their guard is down due to fatigue and over-caffeniation? [Announcer Voice] Play the Spinning Pen Game!

The Puzzle of the Early Earth

The Puzzle of the Early Earth

You know Facebook's big when...

If God's for you, who can be against you?

The quest to get my business official part one...

I had an adventure down at the Erie County Clerk's Office this past week. To begin, parking is quite the hassle, especially when you're not use to the city. Driving round and round I finally found a spot and after dropping in two quarters I realized I need eight total to complete the transaction. Oi! To eliminate the hassle I pulled into a parking garage, and after going five flights up I found a spot.

Spring Break is Almost Over

It would be a wonderous thing to not have school for another week but alas here it comes. Just two more days of break left and its back to the grinder. Yet, there is hope on the horizon, graduation is in May. Then I will get to say bye-bye to school and hey-hey to paying off student loans and finding work to keep me living.

Here's to what rest I found this lovely week and to the dwindling days til the reality of "What are you going to do with your life?" sets in!

Chipmunks?

It's amazing how something so small can be a 30+ comment line conversation on facebook and center of a new conspiracy theory...

Mike and Mandy two VERY creative minds.

A better future?

Current events are making people anxious. Just this week I've been part of conversations that allude to a fear of an uncertain future. On the national level, questions abound as to whether a shift to nationally regulated health-care will turn America socialist. Regionally, unemployment is up in some sectors and taxes are being raised. How can I live with less money? Individually, friends are getting their hours cut back. How will I survive if I lose my job entirely?

Buffalo is melting.

Just a week ago I was battered with cold winds and had to watch my step or else I'd find myself on my back. This week though the thaw has begun (No thanks to Phil the ground hog, he saw his shadow). Instead of layers of ice there are streams of water flowing this way and that. Lakes form where there was once a clear walkway. The ugly mud and beautiful grass have begun to show their faces. Is it spring?

Work, Work, Work

The storm of busyness and business has come. Along with school, my web developing ventures have expanded. It's fun to be able to type a little code and presto, something happens on the screen. It's even more fun to get paid for it.

Currently my favorites code of choice is php and a content management system named Drupal. With a great user community, it's just the right place to get my feet wet and take a little risk as well.

The calm before the storm

Although I've had plenty to do this week, life has been relatively calm. In four more days though things are going to pick up speed once again with school, ministry and work to all keep me occupied.

Next month is almost booked up in projects, schoolwork and ministry opportunities but I wouldn't have it any other way. There's something in who I am that relishes having lots to do and people to serve.
